South Node Empowerment

Sometimes, we want to release ourselves from unconscious patterning that holds us back from stepping into new, bold territories in life… and activating our South Node is s beautiful way to cultivate that type of self-understanding and awareness.

The Nodes represent and activate time (as well as the eclipses) and in the case of the South node, it rules the past; whether we believe that’s past life energy, early childhood, or the fleeting thought we had 5 minutes ago. The South Node can be shadow-y. As the counter-part to the popular North Node, the SN can often times be overlooked, or depicted as energy we should “release" or rid ourselves of.

This feels, however, a little counter-productive since our South Node lives somewhere in our chart… and we would never want to disregard any one part of our chart, particularly in the case of the Nodes, which are so magnificently rooted in spirituality, growth, and our karmic destiny. The South Node can also show us our gifts and talents, where we’ve excelled many, many lifetimes. There can be a stubbornness, sure, but also an expansiveness.
