Hola, my loves! Welcome to a new week. Ahh, I'm so grateful for it. I'm here to share on Venus entering Capricorn today, with a specific look at both relationships and financial abundance!
A closer look at Venus
Known as the Goddess of Love, Venus recreates and awakens life through seduction and energy. She is often called the “primal mother of all on-going creation.”
In the tarot she is the Empress card and the Empress represents the birthing of new life, abundance, the art of receiving and creation.
Through time, the powers of Venus were repressed and often misconstrued. Due to patriarchal presences at force, her essence was diminished into simply being "beautiful" and her true expressions and gifts, often forgotten. But, we remember. And we honor Venus. Idk about you, but I'm relating to Venus in an entirely new way now.
Venus is the only femme planet of the Zodiac and generically known as the planet of love & beauty. But she is so much more than that. She represents love & beauty, yes…. But she’s also about triumph, money, resources, abundance, negotiation of our deepest desires, togetherness, sensuality, manifestation, creation, relationships of all kinds, and true empowerment.
This is why we channel Venus-to inherit this amazing energy she so generously gives.
Venus is the first and only energy of the Zodiac to be associated with the powers of the Moon and you'll notice similar femme qualities, such as intuitive power and goddess awakening. Like all planets, there is a shadow side and here it's of toxic temptations and lower vibrational impulses, but ultimately Venus teaches us important lessons: such as the healing of rejection in love and the influence of love & pleasure in our lives. She shows us our aesthetic values and our taste in sensual comforts & enjoyment - what we can touch, see, hear, taste, and smell. Being the glue of the zodiac who loves to bring things and people together, she can reveal to us how we love others, how we wish to be loved, how we’d like to receive affection and how we give affection.
She’s the garden of life and the flowers we harvest. She’s the nature around us and the abundance available to us. She is the color green, the same color of our heart chakras. She’s the ever-unfolding rose.
Venus in our natal chart shows us what we want, and her counterpart Mars shows us how we get it. Venus represents how we connect and bond with others and what we truly value. Collectively, she symbolizes art and music, fashion, and even the beauty industry. Venus rules both Libra and Taurus, which adds depth to her astrological power and resonance. Venus day is Friday and her metal is copper.
Venus is never more than 48º from the Sun, so your Venus sign will never be more than two signs away from your sun sign in either direction! A fun party trick? Guessing someone's Venus sign if you know their Sun sign!
Her influence is most felt within the sign she is visiting- in today's case, she makes a grand entrance in the domain of Saturn-ruled Capricorn.
Venus in Capricorn Transit
Today, at 12:25pm central time, Venus entered productive earth sign Capricorn where she will remain until December 7th, when she enters air sign Aquarius.
Under Capricorn's influence, Venus encourages us to get serious about the desires and goals we have, particularly around relationships and money. We're being called to get clear on our values as well as our gifts, and how we can express ourselves to create abundance in our lives. There could be greater responsibility and longer-term commitments being made during Venus' rendezvous in Capricorn. It's a time of building, putting forth effort, and focusing on quality.
Relationships
Remember that not all relationships are romantic. Venus in Capricorn comes to bring structure to ALL of our connections. We're wise to contemplate the role we play in our relationships, and if necessary, reimagine ways new ways of existing within those relationships to achieve our #relationshipgoals. A few hot topics will include boundaries, standards, and expectations in relationships. When it comes to a relationship, are needs being met and maintained? Is everyone involved putting in effort? These are excellent questions for reflection as Venus moves through Capricorn. This is a time to re-work the foundation of our relationships to make sure we can be strong together moving forward. A little bit of love goes a long way during this time as some of us may be feeling a bit more guarded than usual. If a relationship is on the rocks, this can be a great time to repair -or- the best time to have the strength to walk away. Avoid power-dynamics or situations that pressure you to take action before you're ready. This is a time to invest emotions wisely.
Financial Abundance
As far as our financial stories go... Venus in Capricorn invites us to get practical and strategic with our money. The goal is to create financial stability and take the lead with building our legacy. What do you want to be known for, what accomplishments do you want to achieve? Venus empowers us to get wildly creative when it comes to monetary gain and to manifest without fear. In Capricorn, we're called to take a grounded and realistic approach, honoring the hard work truly needs to be done. A willingness to truly look at what financial success means for you and the motivation to take aligned actions to bring your visions of success to life is what will make your Venus in Capricorn transit an abundant one. Venus in Capricorn isn't about moving fast or cutting corners, but rather, an opportunity to build up our wealth in a way that stands the test of time. If your financial situation isn't great, this is the time to give it the boost it needs by healing your relationship with money and taking important steps to get secure.

In March of 2025, Venus will retrograde, which only happens every 2 years. This will happen in the sign of Aries, but know that Venus enters her pre-retrograde shadow in the sign of Pisces on January 28, beginning a time of reassessment and reflection in love, resources, money, emotions and all-things-Venus. While we're not there yet, I always like to remind everyone that the planets move in cycles, so what we "build" now while Venus is in Capricorn will influence and impact what we're able to do (or not do) while Venus is retrograde, etc.
